Q: What do you mean by “Indoor/Outdoor” Runs?

A: Each pet, or family of pets, has its own private indoor and outdoor space. Your pet has access to the entire run throughout the day. However, at night and during inclement weather, your pet is secured inside where it is temperature controlled.

Q: Where does my dog potty outside of regular playtime?

A: Most of the dogs learn very quickly to do their business on the outside portion of the run. We fully sanitize inside and outside of our facility throughout the day. Kennel staff is on site during all business hours to clean up the inevitable messes. Your dog is always able to freely access the outdoor run.

Q: Can I bring my pet’s toys or bedding?

A: 4 Paws provides everything needed for a stay at the Resort. Bedding, toys, and bowls are laundered and sanitized daily. If your own personal items are introduced, it becomes difficult to maintain our high level of sanitation. If you feel your pet may be anxious, you may bring in one non-returnable, personal item to make your pet feel more comfortable in its vacation bedding.

Q: Can I bring my pet’s food?

A: Yes, it is recommended you bring the food your dog is accustomed to if it is different than the house brand which is Pedigree dry. This will alleviate potential stomach discomfort from a change in your pet’s diet. Food should be pre-bagged per feeding and clearly marked with your pet’s information.

Q: Can I bring the vaccination records when I drop off my pet(s)?

A: We require the vaccination records to arrive 24 hours prior to your pet’s checkin date. This ensures that everything is current and allows time to handle any vaccinations that may be missing. You are also welcome to have your veterinarian fax these records over directly to us at (480) 830-3090.

Q: My pet is currently taking medication. Does 4 Paws handle medications?

A: Medications are not a problem. We will have you fill out a medication sheet advising us on dosages and schedules for administration.

Q: Why does my pet need a flea and tick treatment?

A: To ensure a pest free facility, we require all pets to have a topical flea and tick preventative prior to boarding. If you would like to provide your own treatment, we must see it applied.

Q: Is someone there all the time?

A: The kennel staff is available for you to contact daily from 7:00 A.M. 6:00 P.M. After 6:00
P.M., our staff will be attending to resort needs. All guests are secured in the facility by 9:00 P.M. In addition to the kennel staff, 4 Paws has an onsite caretaker to ensure all of our pets are safe and secure throughout the night.

Q: Do you have breed restrictions?

A: We accept all breeds for boarding and grooming. Certain breeds or cross breeds, like Pit Bulls, Shar-peis, or Chows, will play with dogs that are from the same family only.

Q: What if my dog is people aggressive?

A: We try to accommodate all types of dogs. Due to our indoor/outdoor setup, 4 Paws is able to provide clean beds, toys, bowls, and a sanitary environment without having to place our hands on or near the dog. In certain situations, we do ask the owner to walk the dog back to ensure the safety of our staff as well as the dog.

Q: What happens in the event my pet gets sick during boarding?

A: If your pet becomes ill while staying at 4 Paws Pet Resort, our first point of contact is the
owner. If we cannot reach the owner, we then attempt to call the emergency contact number provided. If your pet needs emergency care and we can’t communicate with either the owner or the emergency contact, we will seek veterinarian attention to ensure the appropriate care is administered.
